What a great article found on GratefulWeb.com.
Check it out!

I met Gabe at Venture 1983. In the campgrounds. I think. This would have been my third show. After seeing a New Haven show that spring, and making a pilgrimage to Saratoga, NY in June, I headed directly to the west coast. True, I may have met Gabe inside while dancing, or smoking a joint, or perhaps somewhere else entirely, but the campground is where I first remember him. It was the middle of the night, we were sitting outside a bus – could it have been Terrapin Trailways? It could have been. We were watching a juggler juggling lighted orbs as we counted stars by candlelight – yes we actually had a candle planted in the sand in the center of a small circle of folk.
I’m talking here about Gabe because he’s the author of this article. And while it’s true that that we’ve known each other since 1983, he’s never been one to praise me where praise isn’t due.
He was an early reader of my book – took it with him on a trip to Spain – and he texted me “I love you more with each page I read.” Ha! I had no idea that was possible…
Anyway, I don’t think our history much colored his review of my book, but take a look and judge that for yourself.
